The Benjamin Motorsports team had a busy week last week with one race on Wednesday in seekonk Massachusetts and the other race at oxford plains speedway in oxford Maine.

On Wednesday the car was really fast as Travis won the qualifying session with a time of 12.3 seconds around the 1/4 mike track. That would start the team on the pole for the 200 lap feature. Travis would lead for a while than at the half way mark was running 3rd. With 30 laps to go the team was 4th and decided to pit for tires. That wasn’t a good idea and Travis would get caught in traffic and wouldn’t get back to the front.

On Saturday the team was at oxford and with 51 other teams at the race there was some stiff competition. After practice the team was 2nd fastest but with a bad draw for the qualifying race, Travis would have to use a provisional starting spot and would start 31st for the 150 lap race. The car was fast though and at the end of the race the 7 car would pass a lot of cars and finish 5th.

“That was our final warm up before the prestigious Oxford 250 coming up at the end of the month and the car was good but we will have to find a little more speed if we want to win the race. The team will work hard the next couple weeks in preparation!! I have to thank all the people who support all both our races teams!! “ Travis said after the race.
